One of the commonly faced challenges with iPads in our language classrooms is finding ways to suitably use iPads to facilitate and practice writing skills. In a previous post, we looked into ways to enhance students’ typing skills (link), but that still doesn’t help in changing our ways to introduce writing tasks.

iPadTypeRobert Godwin-Jones (2008) discusses the topic of teaching and practicing writing skills using web tools. He covers a few tools that offer ways to produce and to assess writing tasks online. He explains these tools can help create a suitable electronic environment for writing tasks.
