Edtech Tips: Using Office 365 in class

August 26, 2017

As you all know, we no longer use iPads in our classrooms 😔. Instead, our students are expected to bring in their own laptops (or macbooks). To make your life easier, you should make use of Office 365.

What is Office 365?

Office 365 is offered by Windows to provide users with online access to all of their Office tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. You can also download any of these softwares to your own device.

Office 365 and HCT?

The good news is: any HCT member has full access to these services! #yay ..Students and faculty members can use and download Office 365, and it gets better: you don’t need to create new accounts. #dreamsComeTrue

Using your HCT username and password, you can easily sign in to Office 365 and use all their services. The same applies to your students. –They don’t need to remember (or, more accurately: fail to remember) ANOTHER password every semester.

Get started?

All you or your students need to do is go to: portal.office.com. Type in your HCT email (with @hct.ac.ae).
