Unlike old times, our students have access to unlimited pages, pictures, videos, and authentic materials that are accessed with a click of a button or by a tap of a finger. This is why it doesn’t make sense anymore to throw colorless papers or lifeless PDFs at students and expect them to “enjoy learning.”
Students need to visualize, find information themselves, and produce something that proudly showcases what they’ve learned, and that allows them to own their learning. Published two years ago, this inspiring video (two minutes long), created by BlackBoard and JESS3, creatively explains why:
