Dubai Men’s College Career Day

This week Dubai Colleges Men’s campus held it’s 8th annual Careers Day. The event was launched with a VIP opening ceremony in the presence of a number of executives from the public and private sectors.
There were over 50 booths in attendance representing government, semi-government and private organizations. Companies such as Al Futtaim, Fly Dubai and DEWA showed brochures, posters and projects to attract students to view them. The booths were manned by staff and DMC alumni who could answer inquiries about sponsorship, part-time work and full time employment opportunities in each field.
Throughout the day Foundations and Bachelor students had the opportunity to speak to these organizations and find out what the UAE job market has to offer and what they need to do to be competitive.
Prior to the Careers Day, the Foundations students had researched the different employment sectors and then used the actual day to complete various i-pad activities as they toured the booths.
