Dawn Murray of Dubai Women’s College
Patrick GreenDawn Murray is from Scotland and joined Dubai Women’s College in 2000. At DWC she has taught English and Computing and also worked as part of the Learning Support Unit for several years. Most recently she was involved in the iPad guru team prior to iPad implementation across the colleges. In March of 2014 she is going to the First International Conference on iPads in Education in Cyprus to share her experiences.
Dawn graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA in Communication Studies. She went on to complete a CTEFLA, an MSc in Applied Linguistics at Edinburgh University and a Certificate in Online Education and Training with the University of London.
Dawn began her teaching career in Bangkok, a position that marked the beginning of seven years working in South East Asia and Australia. She taught general and business English in Bangkok, Melbourne, Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as EAP at a technical college in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to coming to the UAE Dawn spent four years working at an FE college in Scotland.
Dawn is married with a son and enjoys water sports, eating Thai food, traveling, history and music.
