Achievement Recognised at Al Ain Colleges

March 22, 2015

Tim Smith, the Executive Dean of Foundations for the Higher Colleges of Technology, visited Al Ain Women’s College on Wednesday to deliver a message of motivation and congratulation to the current students.

Introduced by Doug Henderson, the Al Ain Colleges (AAC) Supervisor of Foundations, the meeting began with the students being asked to reflect on what kind of learners they are and this theme was developed by Tim Smith, who emphasized the incredible opportunities available to graduates of the HCT these days throughout the country. “Being successful in the HCT opens a great many doors in terms of career development and personal success,” he told the students and that recent results have demonstrated that AAC students enjoy positions in the top levels in the nation-wide system.

The meeting concluded with the recognition of outstanding student success from the previous semester with awards being given to students who had attained top marks in English and Maths, as well as for Extraordinary Progression and Perfect Attendance. “The Al Ain Colleges have a lot to be proud of,” said Tim Smith, and he encouraged the current students to maintain and even exceed these high standards in their future endeavours. Judging by the noise generated during the prize-giving, the students left the meeting energized and on track to leave their own marks in the history of the college’s successful academic record.
