Taking an active interest in their future, Level 4 DMC Foundations students recently visited Careers UAE to seek advice and information to help them in planning for their future careers.  Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the job fair featured over 115 exhibitors from both the private and public sectors.

Although these Foundations students are not actively pursuing employment at the moment, the fair left them better informed about the types of jobs they can explore upon graduation.  In fact, the visit was particularly timely as these students are currently in the process of deciding which bachelors program to enter next semester.  Helping to facilitate this life-changing decision, the trip to the Careers Fair gave students the opportunity to research the job market, learn about the latest employment trends, and speak to the many DMC alumni who were representing various companies.

This visit will be followed up with the DMC Program Choice Day, a department showcase where all Foundations Level 4 students can learn about the Bachelors programs available to them, in a practical, hands-on way.  As a result these students can make an informed and well thought out decision about which program to enter and what their career prospects will be.
